[NOTED] Bright sack of potatoes bug

The "Bright sack of potatoes" resource was turned into a quest item with the latest update, but they still weigh 10 pods each. Since it is a quest item you can't delete it or drop it on the ground, so characters that had those items in their inventory before the update are stuck with them weighing them down.

After finishing the quest, talk to the NPC Bhen Neddal to hand over the remaining Bright sack of potatoes.

Is there something going to happen about this problem anytime soon? I ve got 750 pods blocked by them .

Was anything ever done with this?
I recently took a bunch of these from bank inventory -- don't ask me how long they were in there.
Now I have a character with with 240 of my 1600 total inventory space being used by an item I can't do anything with.
