Overview about priority in detecting emulators instead many other problems

Hello, I just want to make sure that y'all are aware that this is NOT a hate towards Ankama neither it is a way to avoid the consequences I gotta face..

I'd like to point my overall view of what's happening at the moment. Basically many people got banned for using emulators, I get that. I know Ankama policy about emulators.. However, I can't fully get it, I do understand the game is meant to be for mobile devices only, but why ? Are you cheating the game somehow by playing it on PC ? What's the real advantage you have ? I do understand it was an advantage of people being 8 char solo team before, but now ? I totally agree with getting banned for using an emulator, BUT I do not agree with Ankama putting all that effort in clearing out emulators while there are ton of bots running around. The market in Dodge was ruined long ago. I mean you can't even sell your resources, what do we talk about items... I totally agree with emulators getting banned, but you can't focus on that. There are people playing a single account on Dofus Touch only because it is the most enjoyable version of dofus for many of us. You take that away ? Ankama I'd be real with y'all, you just lost many OG Dofus Touch players recently. I'm speaking about Dodge mainly, as a player from Dofus 2.0 I can't go to dofus PC because I simply do not like it.. and I'm speaking from many players name. As a conclusion, I just want to say that you should put more effort in keeping the servers alive, keeping bots away and providing more new content instead of banning players for playing on PC instead of tablet with keyboard o-O. I guess this is the end of an awesome journey.

Emulators are banned because the game was developed for mobile devices and using an emulator will give an unfair advantage through multi-accounting on a PC.

As for bots, we're reviewing some of our strategies and methods regarding these topics, which should further increase our impact.

We don't regularly report on these topics, they're still at the heart of our concerns because, as we already explained, this is a never-ending issue.

You can preach bro. We all feel the same way. We have all questioned their reasoning for banning emulators for years. Long story short they ain't gonna change anything. Been playing for years, and hear the same unthought-out poor responses every time. They always come up with some random reason that makes no sense why they ban emulators and brush over the topic as fast as possible to stop people from talking about it.

I do have a question to ask though ...

You can multi-account on tablets and mobile devices. I don't understand how that is your argument for banning the use of them. If you are going to come up with some poor excuse for why you don't like them and want to ban them at least make it a valid excuse that is believable. I don't see how they provide an "unfair advantage" in the context you outlined... you can multi on both mobile and pc so that is not an advantage. Most new phones can run multiple instances of the same app now. The addition of stage manager to the iPad means you can run multiple accounts on iPad too. At least come up with an example of an unfair advantage it actually gives rather than the first thing that pops into your head that makes no sense.

Just for our amusement can you at least give us a better answer to why you ban people for emulator usage? It will make us all feel better when we get to read it back after you have killed the server smile

Using them is forbidden for two reasons:

They make it possible to cheat by making the game easier to play, at the expense of players who adhere to the Terms of Use.
They do not guarantee account security. We have noticed that most account thefts were made possible by players playing with malicious modified clients that collected login information (account name, password, etc.). In this specific situation, the Authenticator itself cannot guarantee your account's protection.

Please note that the Support team will not investigate account theft if you have used an emulator or a modified client.
