Remove Agroo

By bilidrg#5682 December 28, 2016, 12:36:18
Agroo in the PC game used to be a pain but it was manageble by the use of the mouse.

Touch screen however is diferent, we aren't able to click in the right square most of the times and this makes it almost impossible to bypass maps with agroo mobs.

I suggest to remove this feature from the touch version as it doens't really add anything to the game.

Just do the wabbit island quests for the cawwot dofus you'll be an expert at it lol. I prefer aggro mobs

The main reason I'm holding off to do it is for the reason above.
My thumbs are big and I end up clicking in a general area of the screen, that I have to hope that the touch screen recognizes as the tile I'm trying to go.

Zooming in helps a little, but I think that the agrros mobs in general were meant to be dodgeable if the player took his time. It's not possible to do that in touch however.

Don't be such a whiner. I clear cut Eltneg Forest on a daily basis and it's no trouble at all to navigate around the aggressive chafers, trools, and wolves. Just click the option to not display all monsters in a group, and click carefully.

Why not just stop playing dofus? everything is a 1-2 square aggro range.. If you can't get past that with the grid on you must be on a 1995 nokia phone that has a 1.1 inch screen

I could agree with this.  I use a Samsung S7 and at times, I accidentally click or get aggro by a random mob.  For those who say "Use a tablet", not everyone has the funds to afford one with Wi-Fi.  If anything, I would suggest at least that mobs drop the aggro range from 2 squares to 1.

Just turn show all mobs in group off and you shouldn't click on a mob.. it's not hard. I play on a S5 and dont get aggroed

For anybody who's missing the point: Aggressive mobs are actually a blessing for players. Ever wonder why you don't see bots clear-cutting Eltneg Forest 24/7? It's because the aggressive monsters make it impossible for the botters to program a clear, easy path like they do in Astrub and elsewhere. Aggressive monsters are the botter's bane, and if not for them there'd be no way to keep bots from dominating the market for some of the rarest and most valuable resources.

So, seriously: just click that button in the options menu to not display all the monsters in a mob and assume a minimum 2-cell aggro range. If you get stuck, just be patient and wait 30 seconds - I promise the mob will move and you can go back on your way again.
