Profession Revamp

Hello Ankama!

Thanks you for such great game, as Dofus. And special thanks for making it mobile! As you already wrote in Missive #5, you are planning professions revamp. As far as I understand it will come after Incarnam revamp (+Arenas).

So here it is my humble suggestion on professions for Dofus Touch.

  1. Combine professions like in Dofus PC. It is highly expected and nearly mandatory to make them more „casual“ for mobile playing. Hunter+Butcher, Farmer+Baker, Fhiserman+Fishmonger, all Carvers, all Smiths, three Mages (weapons, equipment, jewelry). Yeah, Shielsmith —> Artificer.
  2. Keep profession slots. Yeah, not a free-for-all like in Wakfu or Dofus PC, just 4-5 slots. It will minimise mechanics change (like +pods), design changes and other. It will keep characters valuable and softly suggest players make a new character with new class _and_ professions when they tired or get little bored with they current PC gameplay.
  3. Make three mages (weapon, equipment, jewelry) as standalone separate professions, consuming standard slots (remove specialisations). More casual and freeform way to choose slots.
  4. Leave receipts intact (because of lower cross-profession gathering and crafting than in Dofus PC). Maybe just nerf Baker+Farmer combo (more flour per bread, as ex)

That's all! Thanks for your attention.

Hi Svartalfr,

To clarify, professions revamp is currently not planned. Our small team is currently dedicated to developing the Incarnam revamp and "Arenas". Content after that will be communicated in the future. Rest assurred we have taken note of your suggestions and they will be shared with the team for discussion.

Due to Touch being mobile and more suited for solo play, the Dofus PC profession model would make the most sense for the profession platform.

Along with that would be the skill interface where a player can add and subtract points from their skills without the need for Reset trainers.

Lastly, opening stat caps so that a player can maximize their build and reset without worrying about losing scrolled points as in the PC version.
These would be major additions but it would provide a standardized interface. We don't necessarily need to follow everything the PC version has, but we do need content that makes it more mobile and single player friendly.
