Character names

Yea but they are not playing. I could write hundreds of them... It makes no sense to create these characters just to use the name up.

Thats any game man they arent going to ban a character how do you know they don't play? What name system are you refering to? Never seen an alternate name keeping system? Looks like WoW's, Guild war's, all the top and mid range titles...actually every mmo I ever played. Want to make it fair? Stay on top of the news and see if they come out with another server and make all the crazy names you want. A guy that spent 2 mk in game isnt going to lose his house for not using it?

Ive seen just about everyone on my server in dofus touch. It makes us get creative but still its annoying. People reserve these names and never play the game. After about 5 months or so they should delete the character if its under a certain level.

Dofus isnt like other video games. I'm not saying they should stick out but this is why mmos lose players because of the content and form of it. Obviously there needs be players that love this video game and even serious about it enough to make it a real server of vibes and so to speak dimensions. Thats getting too complicated for a lot people but you get the idea. Mods would be perfect. 

You canr just create a game not actually deal with it and the players instead of just money. Then whats the point. You're not doing it for the passion you're doing it for the money and obviously it doesnt matter to them if they dont value the people playing it. I could help this game be a place where theres no bullshit...

Actually yea... With the way technology is these houses could be more than just houses. If you dont play to where you're passionate then its pretty obvious. Absolutely if you own a house and dont play for months or years without notice then yea and dude for future reference... Before you start it. Make sure you know what you're doing lol.

.... What are you saying? you want to be a developer? Ankama isn't good but its not because they are banning people or deleting their characters because you want them to. Its because they are French based and just worry about French players, no moderators, no  admins, nothing. Dofus is different because it is the only combat system of its kind that succeeds. What do you mean you have seen everyone on your server? I'm confused with about half the things you said. There are tons that love this game, me included thats played since 06 and we are serious players?....What are you getting at?

With all those questions I am sure you know what I am talking about... I never said ban people. Yes I have seen just about everyone on the server its not that mysterious. I forgot about this to be honest. In the end I think ankama if truely passionate would be more involved. I can almost guarantee they dont even play this game. Lol

So what does you having seen the active 8,000 players + have to do with your argument? And yes the app is unstable and has bugs it makes you question if they themselves even play or care to check out their game.

Houses are linked to accounts, so they could time names out that people are not playing and let people keep houses still.  Although you guys are talking as if houses never time out when the last I knew they did eventually get taken away if you're not playing, though it's hard to keep up with which version does that since this is an earlier version game than the PC one.  Maybe they didn't yet with this one?  But technically houses go into abandoned mode after 6 months and can be put back on the market by Ankama right?  Is that not true in this version?

I understand what this person means about  names if people aren't using them, people who create a name and never play.  Especially if these are free players who make multiple accounts and register up a bunch of names, never spend money and just go away.  There's no reason their names should be saved forever for them.  Especially on mobile servers where people leaving games usually don't come back again.

*Edit - Oh I didn't see where they said they saw just about everybody on their server  No offense but that isn't remotely true.  People are scattered all over the entire continent, people are in the over 50 area which it sounds like you just started playing and don't have access to yet, people are back on Incarnum.  There is absolutely no way to see even 1/4th the players on your server let alone all of them.  People log on for an hour a day scattered off in some corner you're not playing in.  I agree with some of what the OP said but didn't see the outlandish stuff they were posting like that they have seen every active player on their server

If they are someone under a certain level AND a non paying customer they should delete the name after a certain amount of time.  It would cause too many issues if someone was level 10, spend a few hundred and got deleted.  The majority of these taken up names are from free players who don't stay to play that character, sometimes just register names out of spite, so it wouldn't hurt to clear them after so long of a time if under a certain level of a non paying account.

IDK what you mean about paying players, I'm assuming someone that dishes out for the shop? Something I REFUSE to do until ankama gets their app figured out, something I am not holding my breath for. I don't feel like offing player's character sis the way to go, I believe more ppl would get angry at this then the handful asking for names. Never seen anyone complain about a name situation my entire mmo experience, usuall ppl think of more creative names if anything. If there was something like this I would say get the character to lvl 30 and your in the clear and have a moderate time to do so. But again I believe youd have more bad blood making that call then not.
