Back to list
The biggest inter-server PvP tournament of DOFUS Touch is about to make a comeback! Read all about it in this new devblog.
INTRODUCTION
The Abyss Joust #2 is a PvP competition open to the DOFUS Touch community. It's the greatest player-versus-player inter-server tournament in the game's history!
The competition will pit 500 teams against one another, each consisting of three different players, in an online "Swiss Rounds" elimination format. The final stages will be based on a single-elimination bracket in a best-of-three format (two winning matches).
The entire tournament will be played online on one specific server closed to spectators except for those with special authorization.

- You can create guilds, if you wish;
- A trophy room has been set up to showcase the winners of each inter-server tournament;
- There are now new maps for the tournament final;
- If you're disconnected during a fight, it will no longer be possible to mistakenly reconnect to another server;
- Thirty-two teams will now be selected after the qualification rounds so the round of 32 can take place;

REGISTRATION
How It Works
Teams registering for the Abyss Joust must have three players.* The players must all be different and their characters must level 150 or higher. More specifically, if players wish to use a particular class during the tournament, they must have a character of that class who levels 150 or higher.
When registration opens, one of the three players must go to the tournament section on the official website http://www.dofus-touch.com. Once there, they need to fill out the form to register their team. The two teammates named in the form will receive a notification to confirm they are members of the team.
Registration will be complete and final once all players have confirmed their participation in the tournament.
Tournament registration opens on March 11, 2020, at 12:00 PM (Paris time) and closes on March 17, 2020, at the same time.
There is no substitution system for this tournament. You know the dates and times you must be available to play your matches. If you already know that you cannot guarantee your presence, be a good sport and let someone else have your spot.
* One registration per account per person. Multi-accounting is not permitted during the competition.

Final Stages
The second qualification stage will consist of a head-to-head, single-elimination bracket.
There will be no draws during this stage, and all matches will be played "best two out of three" (BO3).
Maps will be selected via a draft stage until the quarterfinals.

Between each match, players will have a 15-minute break before the next fight begins. Players are also permitted to change their equipment.
Players qualifying for the quarterfinals must be available during both scheduled time slots (Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19).
Players qualifying for the semifinals and finals must be available during all scheduled days and times.
Starting from the semifinals, classes will be selected via a draft system. For newcomers, the draft system means bidding farewell to the original classes the teams chose, because it will determine the class make-up of each team. From here on, the teams will have to go through a draft stage by following the steps below:
- A bans a class
- B bans a class
- A picks a class
- B picks a class
- A bans a class
- B bans a class
- A bans a class
- B picks a class
- A picks a class
- B bans a class
- A picks a class
- B picks a class
A banned class cannot be used by any team. Conversely, a class chosen by a team cannot be chosen by their opponent. There can therefore be no class duplicates.
Drafts for a match will be carried out two days in advance so as to avoid waiting between matches in a BO3 and avoid down time for spectators. This will also allow you to do a minimum of strategic planning based on the classes you selected and, of course, on the maps that are announced in advance.
There will be one draft per match, meaning three drafts per game (a third match will be played only if neither team is ahead after two matches).
For these draft stages, class change potions will be provided on the tournament server (and obviously cannot be used on classic servers!).
FAQ
When will we get the full rules?
The pages about the tournament will be published by mid-March. The full rules will be provided at the same time.
Why have matches during the week?
From the moment registration opens until the final, the tournament is spread out over a month, which is already a lot. We can't allow ourselves to go beyond this, knowing how many players will be having exams right afterward.
Round 1 will allow us to make sure everything is working and to correct any problems before things resume on the weekend. This round is no less mandatory and missing it will disqualify your team.
Why these class restrictions?
These restrictions were put in place after the various community tournaments organized on Oshimo, Terra Cogita, Herdegrize and Brutas, and will ensure maximum diversity and a spectacular event.
Come along and register on March 11!
