The Abyss Joust #3 14/09/2023 - 15h00
Retour à la listeINTRODUCTION
The Abyss Joust is a PvP competition held on the DOFUS Touch platform. This is the community's main event, bringing together players from every server around the world!
The competition will pit 256 teams against one another, each consisting of three different players, in an online "Swiss Rounds" elimination format. The final stages will be based on a single-elimination bracket with a best-of-three format for the elimination rounds and a best-of-five format for the final.
The entire tournament will be played online on a single specific server, where all equipment needed for the tournament will be available to all participants. This server is closed to spectators, except for those with special authorization (e.g. streamers, moderators, etc.).
The tournament will be managed by Ankama and by Krosmoz Tournaments Arena (KTA). Registration and tournament updates will be managed on the KTA website and Discord server:
SCHEDULE
Qualification Stages
- Wednesday, October 11: Round 1 (9 p.m. Paris time)
- Friday, October 13: Round 2 (9 p.m. Paris time)
- Saturday, October 14: Rounds 3 & 4 (7 p.m. & 9 p.m. Paris time)

Each team must participate in the 10 rounds shown on the schedule.
After a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals, any team that has not shown up in full will be declared forfeit. The team that is present must contact a referee as soon as possible to confirm the forfeit.
A match will be declared a draw at the end of the 20th turn. Draws will only occur during the qualification rounds, except in round 10, during which there will be no turn limit. This is to avoid any arrangements aimed at ensuring qualification!
Final Stages
The second qualification stage will consist of a head-to-head, single-elimination bracket.
There will be no draws during this stage, and all matches will be played "best two out of three" (BO3), except for the finals which will be "best out of five" (BO5).
Maps will be selected in advance.
Fights (draft + match) are scheduled for the following dates and times:
- Round of 32: Wednesday, October 25 (8 p.m. Paris time)
- Round of 16: Thursday, October 26 (8 p.m. Paris time)
- Quarterfinals: Friday, October 27 (8 p.m. Paris time)
- Semifinals: Saturday, October 28 (6 p.m. Paris time)
- Final: Sunday, October 29 (6 p.m. Paris time)
At the end of each match, players will start the draft for the following match within 5 minutes. Once the draft is complete, they will then have a 25-minute break before starting the next fight. Players are also permitted to change their equipment.
REGISTRATION
How It Works
Players must register for the Abyss Joust #3 in teams of 3 different players.* Only the first 256 teams to register will be accepted.
The tournament will be held at www.ktarena.com, and registration will take place at the same site. Therefore, you will have to first create an account, and then put together your team.
Once you've assembled your team of 3 different players, you can complete your registration for the tournament.**
Tournament registration opens on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. (Paris time) and closes on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. (Paris time).
There is no substitution system for this tournament. You know the dates and times you must be available to play your matches. If you already know that you cannot guarantee your presence, be a good sport and let someone else have your spot.
* One registration per account per individual. Multi-accounting is not permitted during the competition.
** Once registration is complete, each character must keep the same name on the official servers until the end of the tournament.
Restrictions
Class duplicates are not permitted to play together. Certain class pairings are also prohibited, as summarized in this visual overview:
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Throughout the entire tournament, multi-accounting and account lending are formally forbidden and subject to sanctions.
To connect to the game, you must use only the tools and methods offered and accepted by Ankama (analyses will be done only for the periods after September 14), and any violations will be sanctioned.
